West Kingston polling stations open late

The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) is reporting that of the 6,630 polling stations islandwide 60 opened late.

The EOJ says 57 opened up to half an hour late while three were opened up to an hour late.

Polling stations were scheduled to open at 7 o’clock today.

The EOJ says one of the problem areas was Kingston Western where 25 of the polling stations were opened up to 30 minutes late.

Three others were opened after 7:30 a.m.
