JLP activates election machinery

The General Secretary for the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), Aundre Frankin says the party has activated all its national committees including its campaign committee.

It follows the announcement by Prime Minister Portia Simpson that the local government election will be held on March 26.

Franklin says the committees will be meeting soon to discuss critical matters, as the labour party prepares to contest the polls.

According to the JLP general secretary, most of the party’s candidates are in place and will be announced shortly.
