People’s National Party (PNP) supporters in Clarendon North Central this morning waited impatiently outside the Chapelton Family Court as their candidate Dr Desmond Brennan went through the Nomination Day proceedings.
As they waited, Jamaica Labour Party backers clad in green, rode, walked and drove through the orange army.
Soon, Brennan descended the stairs of the courthouse to an eruption of whistle-and-vuvuzella-blowing-supporters.
"This is my time. This is Brennan time", the medical doctor declared, begging supporters for their 100 per cent support.
High on his agenda if elected Member of Parliament is the reopening of the Chapelton hospital.
"The May Pen Hospital is bursting at its seams," said Brennan adding that sometimes, for two days patients are being accommodated in wheelchairs.
In 2016, Brennan lost in his bid to unseat Pearnel Charles Snr polling 5,674 votes to Charles' 6,230.
With Charles retiring, the medical doctor will be facing former Senator Robert Morgan at the polls this time round.
Brennan has told his supporters that the rescue mission began today and the day of reckoning will come on September 3.
