St Mary Western standard bearer Robert Montague and St Catherine South Central's Dr Andrew Wheatley are now in self quarantine.
In a statement, the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) said both men will today be nominated by senior members of their campaign teams.
The two prospective candidates went into self quarantine after coming in contact with Port Maria Mayor Richard Creary who has been tested positive for COVID-19.
"Mr Montague and Mr Wheatley are acting out of an abundance of caution and in the interests of the health and safety of their constituents and Jamaica as a whole," said JLP campaign spokesperson Kamina Johnson Smith.
According to the JLP, the incumbent Members of Parliament are leading by example.
Montague, the JLP chairman, has been tested for COVID and is now awaiting his results while Wheatley is awaiting testing.
In the statement, the JLP said neither Montague nor Wheatley has shown any symptoms of COVID-19.
