#JaVotes2020 | EOJ reports 16% voter turnout at 11 o'clock

The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) is reporting that at 11 o'clock voter turnout in the 2020 general election was 16 per cent.

The voter turnout at 11:00 a.m. during the last general election in 2016 was 16.96 per cent.

Voting will continue until 5:00 p.m. today.

EOJ website challenges 

Meanwhile, the EOJ said it is aware of the difficulties being experienced on its website due to an increase in the number of persons seeking information on where to cast their ballots.

The EOJ has activated a call centre to assist persons.
