Assistant polling division captain for Corn Piece in Clarendon South Eastern, Carlton Gibbs, has every reason to be confident.

Gibbs, who supervises polling division 57, says that from his list, approximately 65 per cent of the party's supporters have voted so far.

Commenting on the morning's activities leading into midday, he said they started with a "little hitch" as some voters did not have their identifications cards and did not want to swear in. However, he said that everything was sorted out and things went smoothly from there on.

When the Gleaner news team arrived on the scene, we noted that the majority of the voters were clad in PNP-branded T-shirts.
