Sixty-eight-year-old Jasmine Sutherland has been exercising her franchise ever since she reached voting age.

Not even COVID-19 could deter Sutherland, who showed up among the early voters at polling station 85 at the Jamaica German Automotive School in Kingston.

Wearing her mask, the senior citizen told The Gleaner that she had no problem with the process and voted without any hiccups.

While keeping her vote a secret, Sutherland said she has voted for one party all her life. "I wish the best one come out the victor," she said.

Faith Roberts and her son came out early to cast their ballots.

Voting for the third time, Roberts said that the experience was hassle-free.
