The Cabinet has issued protocols for persons in quarantine and isolation to vote in the general election.

Those in quarantine may leave their location once, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday and 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on September 3.

They should immediately return to quarantine after voting.

In addition, they are required to travel only to and from a polling station in private transportation; the driver and all passengers must wear masks; the windows should remain open and the air conditioning should be switched off.

If the person develops any symptoms of COVID-19, or any flu-like or respiratory symptoms, they should immediately inform an election officer at the polling station.

Meanwhile, persons in isolation will have a one-hour window in which to cast their ballots.

They may do so Monday during the hours of 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on September 3, then return to isolation.

Before leaving isolation, these individuals are required to notify the Ministry of Health at 888-ONELOVE, that is, 888-663-5683, 888-754-7792, 876-542-5998, or 876-542-6006.

Persons leaving from isolation should wear a mask, face shield, gloves and a disposable gown.

They are also required to travel to a polling station in a private vehicle with only the driver and to adhere to the general protocols.
