The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) has announced that it will be extending opening hours at all constituency offices to allow voters to collect their new identification cards in time for the February 25 polls.
The EOJ says all constituency offices be open from 8:30 in the mornings to 7 o'clock in the evenings up to February 19.
All constituency offices will also be open from 10 a.m to 4 p.m on Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14 to facilitate the collection of new voter IDs.
Director of Elections, Orrette Fisher says the extended opening hours are particularly for individuals who work outside of the constituency in which they reside and have difficulty with the regular opening hours.
The EOJ says the process is easier when voters take their ID cards on Election Day.
