Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) spokesman on finance, Audley Shaw, on Sunday evening hit the platform in Montego Bay, St James making more promises if his party is elected in the February 25 general election.

Among the promises are a further reduction in the commercial mortgage rates to five per cent and a further drop in transfer taxes.

Declaring that he would not be fazed by his detractors, Shaw who goes by the moniker 'Man a Yaad', said all the  promises by his party are attainable.

But he said the People's National Party (PNP) has been trying to discredit him.

"Every time dem go pon platform, dem tell lie pon Man a Yaad," said Shaw .

Responding to claims that the economy was in shambles when the PNP took over, Shaw told Labourites that they were better off four years ago under the JLP.

Shaw's presentation was interrupted when the JLP Leader Andrew Holness and his wife, Juliet, arrived to thunderous cheers from Labourites crammed into Sam Sharpe Square.

But he would return to the microphone to tear into the performance of the PNP Government.
