PNP selling our heritage, says former MoBay mayor

Former mayor of Montego Bay, Charles Sinclair has blasted the island's parish councils which he said were so corrupt that the Contractor General has had to be conducting investigations in many of them, including the St James Parish Council in which he serves as councillor.

Sinclair speaking at a Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) mass meeting in Montego Bay St James also highlighted the issue of the Cornwall  Beach which he said had been "taken" from the public and given to non-nationals.

"Mi see one of our popular beaches - the Cornwall Beach - that beach was opened to black Jamaican people  to go, it has been sold out to foreigners and when the foreigners do what they want to do on it, it places a restriction on our brothers and sisters who want go to a good beach in Montego Bay; you can't go there.  Yuh heritage has been sold out by the People's National Party."
