Having had to leave his Clarendon home from two o'clock to secure a good vantage point at the People's National Party mass meeting in Half-Way Tree, Chris did not have time to eat his Sunday dinner.

He instead journeyed with his marble dish filled with rice and peas and chicken and had it in the midst of the crowd that gathered to hear the date of the next general election.

"Mi nah go nowhere leave my food," Chris said. "But mi couldn't mek this miss mi."

But for those who where not as prepared as Chris, there was not a shortage of food options.

As the likes of KFC and Juici Patties remained opened.

There were also several vendors selling things such as jerk chicken and bun and cheese.
