Opposition Spokesman on Finance, Audley Shaw, is accusing the Portia Simpson Miller government of corruptly allocating funds in the proposed revised budget to serve politically sensitive constituencies.

Shaw told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre last night so far he has identified more than $2 billion allocated to various ministries for capital spending in what he calls a bid to ensure the PNP's election success.

According to him there is evidence that the additional funds are already being spent.

Meanwhile, Shaw says he is not surprised about the $165 billion increase proposed in the budget.

He says most of the money came from the PetroCaribe debt buyback which had to be placed in the Consolidated Fund from which the government gets money to spend.

However, he says he will raise questions about the allocations at the PAAC.
