Marsha Francis, the People’s National Party’s (PNP) candidate vying for the western St Thomas seat, is feeling pretty confident about her chances.

According to her, the comrades are already celebrating and as a daughter of the soil, she is confident that she will be victorious.

Francis, who was made aware of the low voter turnout, says that she knows for sure that the comrades came out to vote.

"Especially in my division! Comrades definitely showed their support.  I believe that the constituency is depressed and as a daughter of the soil I have experienced it too. People are unsatisfied with level of representation so it’s time to move on," she said.

Francis told reporters that she sees herself as a hard worker who is ready to rebuild her constituency.
