The Electoral Office of Jamaica is reporting a 16 per cent voter turnout as at 11:30 a.m
Director of Elections Orrette Fisher disclosed the latest voting statistics at a media briefing a short while ago.
He said more than 289,000 people have voted so far.
The data relates to 6,604 four polling stations.
There are 7,039 polling stations across the island.
Fisher has sought to assure that the integrity of the voting process is being maintained.
Fisher also said he is satisfied with the voting process.
