#JaVotes2016: Polling stations open across Jamaica

Polling stations are now open across Jamaica.

Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Jamaica, Dorothy Pine-McLarty, says all is in place for the casting of ballots by Jamaicans in today’s General Election.

Pine-McLarty says all voting ballots have been printed and Election Day workers are ready to carry out their duties.

Polling stations opened at 7 this morning and will close at 5 this afternoon.

Voting for the general election began on Monday with Election Day workers and  members of security forces casting their ballots.
